Road Bike Events

03.18.10 Thursday MassBike Special Event   Kyrgyzstan to Kathmandu – a Six-Month Bicycle Adventure.  George Sherman Union, Boston University, 7–9pm.  Inspiring slide show about a physical and cultural bicycle journey through Kyrgyztan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Xinjiang, Tibet, and Nepal.  This event is a benefit fundraiser for MassBike, with $10 suggested donation.

05.15.10 Saturday Bike Night Party   The Greatest Bar, 262 Friend Street, Boston.  Join local cyclists (including Landry's staff) for MassBike's annual celebration of bicycling – featuring appetizers, cash bar, silent and live auctions, and more.  Valet bicycle parking will be available.  Landry's Bicycles is honored to sponsor MassBike.
 
05.17.10 - 05.21.10 Monday - Friday Bay State Bike Week   May is National Bike Month, and here in Massachusetts we’re doing our part to celebrate this great event with Bay State Bike Week.  It’s your chance to join thousands of other cyclists across the country by doing something for the environment and having a great time while you’re at it.  It’s a win/win proposition.
 
05.21.10 Friday Bike Friday - Bike Week Festival - Boston   City Hall Plaza, Boston.  Join the kickoff Bike Friday event, and celebrate bicycling with bike convoys throughout metro-Boston, free breakfast, music, and more.
 
06.19.10 Saturday Harpoon B2B Ride   Boston, Mass.  Challenging, one-day 148-mile ride from the Harpoon Brewery in Boston to the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT.  A good number of Landry's Cycling Club members participate in this event each year.
 
06.25.10 Friday Bike Friday - Boston   Ride into Boston with convoy routes and breakfast celebration at Boston City Hall Plaza.  It’s a great way to kick gas, beat gridlock, meet new friends, and have fun.
 
07.09.10 - 07.11.10 Friday - Sunday Maine Bike Rally   3 days.  Annual bicycle-rally weekend hosted by the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.
 
07.25.10 Sunday George Street Bike Challenge for Major Taylor   Short, steep uphill time trial in Worcester, Mass.  Funds raised benefit the Major Taylor Association.
 
07.30.10 Friday Bike Friday - Boston   Ride into Boston with convoy routes and breakfast celebration at Boston City Hall Plaza.  It’s a great way to kick gas, beat gridlock, meet new friends, and have fun.
 
08.05.10 - 08.08.10 Thursday - Sunday Mass BikePike Tour   Four-day, supported bicycle tour across Massachusetts, with daily route options of 30–65 miles.  Proceeds benefit MassBike.
 
08.27.10 Friday Bike Friday - Boston   Ride into Boston with convoy routes and breakfast celebration at Boston City Hall Plaza.  It’s a great way to kick gas, beat gridlock, meet new friends, and have fun.
 
09.26.10 Sunday Boston Mayor's Cup Criterium   City Hall Plaza, Boston.  Professional criterium race, featuring top professional racers including Olympic cyclists and National Champions.  Plus a bike kids race, a live concert, expo, and festival.
 
09.26.10 Sunday Hub On Wheels   Choice of 10, 30, or 50-mile bike routes around Boston, Mass.  Funds raised benefit the Technology Goes Home program.  Landry's Bicycles is honored to sponsor Hub On Wheels.
 
10.02.10 Saturday CF Cycle for Life - Massachusetts   Holliston, Mass.  (Formerly called "Cycle for Haylee.")  Choice of 12, 30, or 65-mile routes.  Funds raised benefit the local Cystic Fibrosis Foundation chapter.  Landry's Bicycles is honored to sponsor CF Cycle for Life.

12.05.10 Sunday Jingle Ride   Annual holiday bike procession from Arlington to downtown Boston and back, hosted by our friends at Ciclismo Classico.  Registration starts at 10:30am in Arlington Center.  Prizes awarded for best decorated bike and best costumed cyclist!  Donations will benefit MassBike's local bicycling advocacy programs.
