A recreational XC hardtail and a star in the Specialized line-up for more than two decades. The Rockhopper® with its ultra-refined M4® alloy frame has evolved into the smart choice for anything from a flowing fire road to a fast singletrack.

Rockhopper models are also available in a 29-inch wheeled version, with some important improvements over similar bikes on the market. Their unique geometry allows Specialized 29er mountain bikes to have a lower center of gravity and more stability than others of the breed, making for a nimble, yet stable ride. When combined with their new The CaptainTM tire in a 29-inch version, there’s no better 29er to handle a wide range of conditions.

From the mean streets to demanding dirt trails, the Hardrock® delivers performance and durability in a package that looks good and is built to be solid as a rock.

For the Hardrock, Specialize uses a 100% proprietary, butted A1 alloy tubeset that is light, but still tough because they put the material only where it needs to be. Optimized Radius Engineering top and down tubes add even more brawn and still manage to shave weight.
